31 Tiger Players on Honor Roll

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has announced its NAPHL Academic Honor Roll for the 2018-19 season. To qualify for the NAPHL Honor Roll, student-athletes must have achieved certain academic standards during the 2018-19 school year and must have been nominated by a coach or member administrator.

The Colorado Springs U15,U16, U18 teams placed 31 players on the academic list. Tiger players have taken different paths through the academic year but all of them have achieved the same high marks. The following student athletes were recently named to the list:

U15 Team Members - Josh Belz, Noah Bonnett, Liam Farrell, Joe Feamster, Nicholas Hallee, Ryan Lewis, Lucas Marples, Payne Pent, Daniel Sanchez

U16 Team Members - Ty Bloom, Bode Dunham, Marc Fletemeyer, Keaton French, Christian Howanitz, Nicholas Junkin, Ian Lindberg, Logan Matheny, Kole Morris, Jake Parent, Cole Whitman, Damion Williams

U18 Team Members - Adam Alldredge, Adam Bublitz, Erik Gibboney, Luke Gosnell, Tylor Greene, Cody Mastay, Shawn Muhr, Cole Simpson, CJ Smith, Doug Wakelyn

The Tigers enlist the help of academic advisor Carla Dunham who has spent time with parents, students and educators navigating the demands of our student athletes.

It’s a “Hat Trick”, Congratulations to all our Tiger AAA players in their accomplishments this season!  On and off the ice the Tigers organization made great strides with our student athletes. Thirty-one Tiger players were recognized by the NAPHL Academic Honor Roll.  My love of education guided my path to the Tigers organization when I heard they were looking for an Academic Advisor. It has been a rewarding year working with the young men known as the Tigers.

“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.  Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I feel this is demonstrated by our players through their dedication to excel academically, training to compete on the ice and overall character they exhibit to those they encounter.  I know firsthand how much self-motivation, time management, and desire to succeed these players have put forth.  I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the players, parents and coaches.  It was my pleasure to help support their educational needs and monitor their overall growth.

Thanks for the opportunity to express my joy of working with the players, coaches and parents this year.

Congratulations to all of our players and parents we are very proud of all of you and this accomplishment!
