The Colorado Springs Tigers U18/U15s completed NAPHL regular season action this past weekend in Blaine, MN.

The Tigers U18s went a perfect 4-0 on the weekend as they look to take that momentum in to the NAPHL finals in February when they travel to Detroit. The team notched wins over California Reign, Florida, #10 ranked NorthStar Academy and wrapped up the weekend with a 5-2 win over Portland.

Speaking about the teams 3-1 win over NorthStar, assistant captain Johny Peterson said, “We knew it would be a great game, the message before the game was to play smart and give it all you got, we needed everyone to step up and they did.”

Head coach Kevin Holmstrom on the team “It was a good weekend for the team, we improved every game and really bought in to what works in some key spots. We continue to improve on consistency and will be tested again this weekend in Omaha which is a great opportunity.”

The U15s picked up a hard fought 4-3 OT win over the Esmark Stars on the final day of the showcase behind two goals from Hunter Coulombe and the goaltending of Julien Nash. The U15s will also compete in the NAPHL finals February 14-16 in Detroit.

Good luck to all the Tiger teams as they continue to play great hockey down the stretch!
