NAPHL announces Apex Learning Peak Performers for October 2020
The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for the month of October. The players were selected based upon their performance during all NAPHL games played in October, including at the events in St. Louis, MO, and Blaine, MN along with head to head games at team sites. Peak Performers are only to full-time NAPHL Tier 1 members.
Colorado Springs Tigers Cole Eastman(U18s) and Hunter Coulombe(U16 - pictured) were both recognized as second stars in their respective age groups.
Eastman a 2002 goaltender from Wenatchee, WA went 2-0 on the weekend helping the Tigers to a perfect 4-0 record. Posting wins over the Ontario Jr Reign and West Coast Renegades, Eastman flashed just two goals against and a .944 saves percentage while pushing his NAPHL season record to 3-1.
Defenseman Hunter Coulombe from Tijeras, NM also collected recognition in the U16 division for the Tigers. Coulombe a 6’1” prospect posted a point in each of the Tigers four games finishing the weekend with a goal and four assists helping the team to a 3-1 record. In his second year with the Tigers Coulombe commented on the team’s success saying “we just got focused before the games and started thinking about the details that make our team successful. We wanted to show teams that they shouldn’t underestimate the Tigers.”
