Tigers U18 Defenseman CJ Smith Recognized
The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for the month of January. The players were selected based upon their performance at the fifth NAPHL event of the season, which took place in Detroit, Michigan from January 18-21, 2019. Stats were based on regular season games played during the month.
Tigers U18 CJ Smith (Carmel, IN) was recognized as a Defensive Peak Performer in the January event. Smith posted a goal and two assists over four games helping the Tigers go 3-1 on the weekend and finishing second in the Elite division in the regular season. Smith has consistently found the score sheet posting at least one point in each of the five events over the course of the year and is tied for eighth among defensive scoring in the league.
The Tigers return to action this weekend with a home and home series with the Colorado Thunderbirds before returning to Troy, MI. The final NAPHL event of the 2018-19 season will be the Dixon Cup Championship, which will take place February 15-17, 2019.
